The museum will include the following programs for its visitors:

  • Wooden boat building techniques for adults and children
  • Half hull modeling techniques
  • Model ship building
  • Historic movies of ship building and movies covering other subjects such as sailboat and power boat racing
  • Lectures on specific subjects about boat building such as materials used, design shapes for vessels of different purposes, and the transition from wooden boats to fiberglass boats
  • Sing Sea Shanty songs
  • Knot tying classes
  • School tour
